About the Event
Born to an artist mother and Army Engineer father, Leigh Henry learned as a young person to make art wherever she was, with whatever she found. The immediacy of her works shines through as she drops the viewer into her visual stories, created through painting. Leigh has been working with oil paint for more than 10 years, and works with bamboo and stone to make sculptures. Her wood fired pottery is made from clay that the artist sourced herself. Leigh Henry studied at the Corcoran School of Art, Virginia Commonwealth University, Antich College, and Blue Ridge Community Colleges. She currently calls the Shenandoah Valley home.
